According to Nestle, Mrs. Wakefield (owner of the Toll House Inn) was making chocolate cookies but ran out of regular baker’s chocolate, so she substituted it with broken pieces of semi-sweet chocolate, thinking that it would melt and mix into the batter. It clearly did not, and the chocolate chip cookie was born. Wakefield sold the recipe to Nestle in exchange for a lifetime supply of chocolate chips (instead of patenting it and making billions!) Every bag of Nestle chocolate chips in North America has a variation of her original recipe printed on the back (margarine is now included both as a variant on butter and for those people who want to pretend it is healthy). Wow, i never knew that... so there must be a history of every chocolate trademark by any major chocolate making companies like Hershey's, Toblerone and others. It would be interesting to know those facts..

if only she was smart enough by not selling the recipe to nestle, she could have get more than lifetime supply of chocolate chips, and thats a lot of cash! B)

yes i do cook most i wanted to cook is the adobo, I am sure you are familiar with that dish as this is a local dish on our country

There are another companies which produces chocolates too so you can find out informations and shared it here again :D

the good chocolates can be seen in a dairy country like New Zealand and Australia, there are a lot of quality chocolates in there.. and also delicious and nutritious...

Yes, chocolates are good if that was produced from New Zealand and Australia. I ever tasted chocolates from Australia but only once :D

i didnt know that until you told it here guys. i thought it's from the US who give delicious chocolates! but chocolate chips is different from plain chocolates. it's a cookie with chocolates! :biggrin:
