I just heard about a plan that one of our local churches plans to have a bingo night to help a family from a neighboring town that lost their home and every thing they owned in a house fire a couple of weeks ago. From what I understand, there won't be any cash wins, but there will be prizes for those who go bingo that night. Players will donate $20 to play, there will be food and soft drinks for sale and all proceeds will go to the family in need. I'm not sure of all the details, but this is one bingo night I don't want to miss. I think it's a great way to have some fun while helping others.
